Gullane to Dirleton Coastal Path
The sunshine before the next Atlantic storm, Frank, reaches Scotland this evening.
It was great to walk seven miles along this coastline today, that is, in my view, every bit as impressive as any Cornish coastal path!
As we returned to the city, the rain began. The worst of this latest storm is likely to be on the west side of north Britain.
I hope it won't be as severe as predicted. There are significant parts of the UK now that simply cannot cope with any more rain.
The vessel is Finlandia Seaways underway from Rosyth to Zeebrugge where she will dock at 1000 UK time tomorrow. Her cargo is ro-ro lorries on this freight only route.
The fisherman is hoping for some sea bass to adorn his New Year's Eve dinner table.
