Karaoke for 3

Following a super speedy whip round the zoo in the morning (full of animals that looked as though they were suffering from Seasonal Affective Disorder), my friends S and J came over, ahead of our night on the town. We exchanged gifts, and I couldn't help but feel mine were below par, as their gifts has brilliant personal touches.

In town, we had a few cocktails at All Bar One, a quick pint in the Blue Blazer, then up to Hanams for dinner (Kurdish, yum). Already blootered, we ate the most delicious dips and slow cooked lamb, and washed it all down with pink fizz and cloudy cider. Which is when it struck me that karaoke was in order. Off we went to Electric Circus, which was woefully understaffed, but they were forgiven on account of the excellent character of each of the three people running the completely jam-packed night club. Local band Beeches were playing there and it was stowed out.

Karaoke was pure comedy gold, from misguided and ear-splitting Wuthering Heights, to completely incompetent rapping, and finishing up with some frankly embarrassing, but gutsy nonetheless, Alanis Morisette.
