The Light of Life

After a morning of chores, this afternoon I escaped the house and went out for a walk on the old railway line and up on to the heath.  There were quite a number of people out catching the last rays of sunshine.  I stopped under 'my' Scots pine tree which stands alone on the heath, away from the other trees.  From it you can see west towards the hill which forms Selborne Hanger.  As it was about 4 o'clock this afternoon, the sun was starting to fall low in the sky and cast sun beams across the gorse bushes and grasses.  I stood for a while to take it in.  Then I returned to make a spinch and feta tart for dinner (:
