Morning Walk

A beautiful sunny morning.  A hard frost overnight, probably down to minus six.  A swift walk of the short loop just as the sun was starting to melt the ice, the trees dripped and trunks steamed - all very atmospheric.  Then it was over to visit some friends for lunch.  They had not been able to attend our wedding so this was a little catch up.  After a four course lunch (!) we had a short walk in the woods with their two spaniels.  The sun was setting and the mist already starting to rise.  Now we are home and starting to plan our menu for the New Year.  I hope you are all well and keeping warm.
