Growing old disgracefully

WORKING SPACE

It's where I've been most of the day, so it will have to do for a blip.  We did get a walk later, with our oldest grandson and his dog, but it was in the dark and driving rain

I love my working space, even though the beautiful glass desk is impractical as greasy fingerprints have to wiped off every day and it wobbles as I type!  I've always liked to have a tidy desk (yeah, yeah, I know sick mind) and when I used to work for other people I kept a duster and some polish in a desk drawer so that I was always working on a clean surface.  It helps to keep my mind clear if I'm not surrounded by clutter.

I've been making some adjustments to our website, updating databases etc.  All rather tedious, but the wet windy day seemed to provide a perfect opportunity.

I started yesterday to highlight one fellow blipper a day who has made a difference to my life and who I like to follow.  It's part of my way of highlighting the importance of blip future.  Today, I want to honour admirer.  Not only does she post a beautiful image each day  - mostly of wildlife - but each day she also writes a haiku* and has a wise quote.  Her observation and capture of the natural world is so gentle, but also so technically competent.  I feel I go a little walk each day with this blipper, and each day see something new.

*Pretty impressive, I feel, as she is Dutch and writes a Japanese form poem in English!
