Early fireworks

At the nature reserve this afternoon, having a quick recce for the New Year Plant Hunt organised by the Botanical Society of the British Isles. Botanists all over Britain will be searching over the next 4 days to record plants in flower. I found 10 species with little difficulty today, but seedheads like this one reminded me of the floral profusion of high summer. I hope you all enjoy New Years Eve.
