Dig in the City

This dig is in the middle of the City of Reykjavik as you can see in the background. From the right this time is the house of the Oddfellow in Iceland and then the small dark house is the gable of the Althing's house and all this lot belongs the the Althing.
The old houses have been transformed to their "original form" (you think!) and are and will be offices for the MP's of the Althing parliament.

This dig is a continuation of what I mention here and had a link to the showing of the first settlers house in Reykjavik 871 (a guess).

Some archaeologists think the settlement of Iceland began 2 to 300 years earlier as they have found traces of settlement from that time.

Location: Picture taken from that corner to North East.
