We met a guy at the elevator going to breakfast at the hotel. He was a kind man working for TransAmerica, which he informed us was taken over by Aegon, a Dutch company.
We talked international relations and customs. He used to teach English in Korea and was there at time of the Vietnam war. Forgot to ask if he was happy to not have to have gone to Vietnam. But guessing that would be the case.
He was a Mormon and I decided not to ask too much about religion because you never know who you're gonna offend with such a topic.
Going out to salt plains and a dinosaur excavation site today, hopefully. First rain since arrival. And first since months for these parts.
