City of Doors

Zihuatanejo has few interesting doors, at least where we live on the beach, but it looks like Patzcuaro is going to be filled with them if tonight's walk is any indication. Dulce (the dog we are house-sitting), Shelley and I took a short walk around our immediate neighborhood after the rain let up this evening. Even though this area has not been here for hundreds of years like much of Patzcuaro, it still has a great selection of interesting doors and architectural details. I know there will be many more photographs over the next couple of months showcasing these features, but for today I was taken by the symmetry of this compound's doors and the clean white wall.
