Highland Scenery

The terrain is so much different here in the Patzcuaro region from what we are used to at the beach. Moutnains, lakes, pine trees, it is like we are back in Washington State. If it weren't for the signs being in Spanish, we could easily be traveling between our former home in Yakima and Seattle. We took a trip to Morelia today to shop for some warmer clothes (another similarity with Washington). This photo gives some idea of our new surroundings, very green due to the daily (at least this time of year) rains and lots of agriculture.
