Commitment

I'm not very good at running regularly, though I do quite enjoy it. I had a problem with my calf muscles a couple of years ago, which stopped me running and took ages to fix (turned out I needed to strengthen the muscles around my hips).

With time to spare over the holidays, I've managed to get out again without too much difficulty, though I've taken it slowly and walked some stretches.

I'm going to sign up for the women's 10k in Glasgow in June, which gives me plenty of time to get ready, without aiming for a personal best. I know it will give me the motivation to go out a couple of times a week, then I'll need to build up the distance in April/MY.
