Wicklow Bay
Our second glorious morning in a row. Almost unbelievable and I was in Wicklow Town to visit a project on a very large housing estate where we have a guy working with the community as maintenance man in the community hall. This is the view from the estate, looking north toward Bray and beyond that Dublin is just 12 miles up the road. That ship you see at the mouth of the harbour was actually on its way in stern first. Quite an interesting piece of navigation to watch but obviously something the guys were well used to. 20 minutes later when I got down there they had her snugly berthed and had started to unload.
You will hardly believe this but the estate from which I shot this photo is one of the most deprived and run down I have ever been on. Anti social behaviour is rapmant and some of the houses even have the windows bricked up, where the occupants have probably been evicted by the council. Boy do they have a view though. Apart from the telegraph wires which ran right across the frame that is. Photoshop soon looked after that little problem.
