We took a last minute decision to go to Edinburgh on Hogmany as this would be our only chance to see the "Family Portrait - The Scots Italians 1890-1940" exhibition which featured my grandparents. It was worth it and we were glad we had made the trip.

Edinburgh was buzzing with the pre-party atmopshere building as we headed for the station to catch the train back to Ayrshire.
