Staffin Bay
With little coverage, it's hard to know exactly what weather to expect but, despite the double rain forecast from a few days ago, this morning started out dry. We made the most of it with a walk from Staffin Bay slipway. Little Dog had a blast after spending a day in the car. Sea, hills, ball, sheep poo. Could a dog's life get much better?
We had a nose at Kilt Rock and the waterfall which was really impressive before heading into Portree for a lunch, a bit of shopping and petrol.
Somehow, even though the sky was blackening, I managed to convince Rich to do another short walk this afternoon down a steep path next to the coast and a hydro electric power station.
The rain arrived. We got very wet!
The path, however, dropped down onto a wonderful remote and hidden bay with towering cliffs and all was forgiven - pretty much.
After spending a short while enjoying being alone here, we headed back up and home to dry out.
DVD night 2. Last Tango in Halifax, 3 episodes. Very enjoyable.
Still raining.
