Happy ending!

Panic stations today, Bluey  missing! 

When we went to bed last night she was fast asleep on the armchair in front of the fire. This morning she was not there, very strange as she usually manages to avoid going out even for the essentials if the weather is bad and last night it rained all night and was positively torrential this morning.

Bear in mind this is a cat that rarely moves from fireside/bed/sofa unless the temperature is in the 70's and a butterfly more or less settles on her nose!

By lunch time we were getting seriously worried and C went out in the rain to search the garden, field and roads, no sign anywhere, none of our neighbours had seen her and we sadly concluded that a fox must have got her.

HOWEVER, at 5.30 she rolled home, dry as a bone despite the rain, slept for a while on the sofa, had her tea and then went out again in the pouring rain.

We have concluded that in her dotage (she is 13) she must have had a Christmas romance with a gentleman cat that owns a more salubrious bed/sofa/fireside than ours!

Tomorrow we will not panic if she is missing again!
