Maple's Mom

This is a backblip to yesterday as I was too wiped out to even look at photos.   The girls and family left for the ferry yesterday afternoon so we had it a bit quieter for awhile til we got up early today to take the boys and family over to catch the ferry on this very frosty morning… but oh, I can’t remember another week at New Year’s with such clear cold weather and CALM SEAS. —we were so fortunate!   Perfect for this family event!  Maple sugar is like another kid for sure —a funny friendly people dog, but she belongs to her “Mom” K who is the one who insisted on the Vizsla and takes her out on the island trails every morning before anyone else is up - for a good 1-2 hours. (These dogs need an enormous amount of exercise and so does her "mom". )  They know every path on this island!    This is just to show she can obey the occasional command:-)

And then, a huge thank you for all the wonderful stars hearts and comments that started coming in sometime yesterday afternoon for the Jan 1 blip future blip—I thought it very odd and totally unusual for me to see those from people I didn’t know, and then Connections solved the mystery by telling me of the “staff picks” of the blip future team… I was most honored!!!  It IS what it’s all about —recording a special event - all 4 grandchildren here on New Years- and it IS an investment in the future - (saving blip and nurturing the grandchildren as they grow up).. When I told the family what amazing thing happened to this photo of them, Fiona asked if there were more kids in some of the other blips , I said I hadn’t seen any yet, and she said well that’s why we got it!  Kids!
