New Year Resolutions

Today our weather app said rain.  Today our weather app was correct.

 

It has rained and rained and rained and rained.

 

I went to work with Ann today and when she finished work at 3pm she said, ‘Molly, we have to walk to Denise’s house now to pick up my car.’  Last night Ann went to a party and drank copious quantities of wine.  Mmmmm………….. She told me on Friday that she was going to be doing ‘dry January’????..............  Apparently there are exceptions to every New Year resolution!!!

 

I like the route from work to Denise’s house.  It involves walking through fields and woods.  However today Ann said, ‘Molly, we will have to walk via the road route because the fields and woods will be waterlogged and muddy.’

 

So that is what we did.  But do you know what?.......................  Even some of the roads were waterlogged and Ann wasn’t wearing her wellies so she ended up with wet feet ‘cos she had to paddle through big puddles.  Obviously I quite liked paddling through big puddles.

 

And when we got to Denise’s house; Denise said that she had recycled zillions of beer bottles & 63 wine bottles??!!  Obviously Ann did not drink 63 bottles of wine all by herself. Lol!   Anyway Ann’s starting again with ‘dry January’ as a quiet night in watching Corrie & EastEnders beckons.  But it’s party time again next Saturday night. Woooohoooo!!!

 

I think life as a gorgeous little collie is so much simpler than being a human?!!

 

New Year Resolutions?  Who needs them?  Life is not a dress rehearsal!!!
