A scorcher of a day today; only a few scattered clouds with temperatures around 30°C (a significant improvement over home from what we hear). Ideal weather for going to visit a cave (as in wine, not just a random hole in the ground). As this is the champagne region of course it would have to be a champagne cave complete with degustation. Not too far from where we're staying is Monial; lovely champagne, only (only!) 80,000 bottles and three small pressings a year. Good prices too!

After a day trip there's only one thing to do: pool, ice-cream o'clock and BBQ. /me sighs.
