Still Life With Feathers

Most sandhill cranes migrate to the southern U.S. for the winter. But a few decided to not get on the bus, and are spending the season at the Reifel Wildlife Sanctuary in British Columbia. At nearly four feet tall they display a convincing "don't mess with me" attitude. I included some extra photos.
