A slice of Lesley's life

Mr Blue Sky

I've no idea where that expression comes from; funny how we absorb these things.

Anyway, I'm feeling all jolly and positive so it seems apt. Took this in the morning after I'd dropped Anna at a friend's house for a swimming play date whilst I took J to oxygen (11). A very hard journey which is leading us to wonder if there is something vestibular going on as it seems to be so hard for him to be in the car. Though it could just be the stress of going to the tank which he definitely sees as an endurance test. It may well have been used in a Japanese game show. Today was the first time I have forgotten to take earphones to listen to podcasts and without them the sounds of 4 Darth Vaders in a confined space for an hour and a half was a little disconcerting.

However, the journey home was better and for the last half saw lots of interesting conversation about films and sequels and why some can make lots of equally good films (Star Wars 4-6 and Harry Potter) and others can't. And all the things we let Jackson watch at possibly inappropriate ages...primarily, Dr Who (aged 4) Thunderbirds (aged 2). And he joined Anna for dinner downstairs which is quite a big one, especially after a hard tank trip.

I have dipped my toe very gently back into work so hopefully tomorrow's full launch won't be too painful. And taken Albi for a lovely muddy play in the park. And eased us a little further into normal routines with ferrying of Anna to tap and ballet classes.

In the context of our current world I quite liked today.
