Water under the bridge

Elvet bridge in Durham, to be precise. Very high water and very fast-flowing today.

Still raining! We decided on a trip down to Durham - it's a nice place to look round, and it has a main-line station - Lucy had to be on the train back home this afternoon as she's back at work tomorrow. It is indeed a lovely city (with a very good fish restaurant), but even walking short distances we got soaked.

Saw Lucy off on the train, and MrM drove us back to Wooler through heavy rain and, around Gateshead and Newcastle, heavy traffic. Half the population must have been at the sales...
