Reflecting on Brass

This event/competition is here in Timaru this weekend, running over 5 days.....today was the street march with 25 bands from throughout NZ. Brilliantly turned out (well most of them....Auckland was a huge disappointment) in their uniforms and shiny brass instruments. I thoroughly enjoyed watching them as they prepared, getting the lines straight all the time being judged then off they went playing, some of it was really toe tapping stuff - true story.

It doesn't take too long to click off 130 images, but I do like the close ups with the reflections. Serious brass was my other choice, take a look.

Just had a nasty earthquake, 4.9, heard it coming then some horrid rock and rolling.

Off out to a meeting at 5pm, (the meeting I am going to shortly is in the building reflected by pure coincident!!)then pick up take aways for tea. A big match for our Crusaders tonight, hope they can have a win.
