And guess who was with us for NYE? Barrioboy and digitaldaze, iPads always at the ready. And a goodly crowd of other friends, all of whom also brought contributions to the feast, before we all trooped down to the beach to join a million or so others and watch the fireworks.

A hot, hot, HOT day and as usual, I was all behind with party preparations, largely due to clearing up the last of the mess left by the builder. Miracle Maria had already done a good job while we were away, but she came in this afternoon and we both worked our butts off . Maria at work has to be seen to be believed, she's simply doesn't stop. She has never seen the fireworks on the beach, so I thought she might not mind coming to help out this evening. Fortunately, she didn't have anything planned, and her husband was OK with staying with the children. We'll have to get all four of them over next year.
