Sun? To the beach we go...

Glorious day outside here, so after getting 2 loads of laundry on the line, we took ourselves off to Te Puru. Wandered up into Omana Regional Park, and just played for a few hours. It was just divine. Still, clear and warm enough for just a long sleeve shirt.

I loved this little sparrow, it kept posing for me, while the girls were on the spider web climber.

Went down to Maraetai once the kids were ready to leave the playground, and bumped into a friend and her 3 kids there. So got to have a catch up, while all the kids took turns at burying each other. My friend has had a time of it recently, when she had to do a dash to Guernsey (with the 6, 4 year olds plus 18 month old) after finding out her Mum was in a coma. She got there in time to spend the last 2 hours of her Mum's life with her. I really have to take my hat off to her, she's talking about the positives of what happened. She's such a special lady, and one of life's do-ers.

Girls and I finished our outing with a sit outside at the cafe drinking hot chocolates. Bliss.
