Breaking Through

Henri & I decided to brave a round of golf this morning (or, at least, two thirds of one as only thirteen holes were open).

We started off in a howling gale and rain under a slate-grey sky, with squelchy mud under foot in places, and decided we were mad.

However, just as we got to the 10th tee here, the sun broke through and we finished the round under blue skies. Hopefully the cold, dry snap they've been promising has arrived. The course certainly needs it to help dry it out.

Given the conditions, we didn't play too badly; and, of course, with 5 fewer holes, we were back in the clubhouse with a coffee earlier than usual.

I've been chopping wood this afternoon with that cold snap in mind.
