Whitby

A drive out to Whitby and what a day. There was an accident on the M61 so we decided to go via the M65 and the scenic route up through Ripon. On the way we met a few road diversions probably due to roads being flooded and it took us a good three hours just to reach Whitby. Then we got some dinner and wandered around. The place was dead and dismaĺ. We walked on the pier and it was so rough that we came back before getting swept out to sea. Our final pitstop was Sherlocks where we had cake and a drink before heading home. I do like January days out in seaside towns on England though....all good fun.
