Little flower

Another long hot sunny day... spent in front of the computer. The kids, who stopped having lessons about a week ago, were out in the sun all day. When they came home and I asked "What did you do today" they replied as one: "Break". Alright for some.

Though as it happens, not alright for Katherine - who came down with a case of heat stroke after all that sunshine. She spent the rest of the afternoon lying on the sofa with a cool cloth on her forehead and the fan on.

Ages ago I sewed lots of ficoide seeds - and then didn't really look after them very well. A few dozen plants are struggling on, and this one kindly put out a rather pretty flower.
