We're Off

The start of a 25k walk. From Blackfriars down the Thames Path to the o2 where we were fed and watered. We then took the cable car over the Thames to the other side and made our way back...to be fed and watered again.
Thankfully no rain. It really was a great walk.
Stupidly I didn't really prepare myself for this. No walking training whatsoever. I wore socks for warmth rather than for the job they had to do. I didn't clip my toenails either. All this ended up with me having sore feet. I'll live and learn.
I really want to do an ultra walk at some stage but I've a lot of training to do before I attempt that. Plus I really need the right footwear.
