Another fête du village...

...this time at Fouzilhon just up the hill from us. We joined friends for a very good meal - salad gourmande, gardiane de taureau, cheese, apple pie, followed by a couple of friends' peaches from their own trees - and some great music from the Occitan group Du Bartas. Three of the five are here - with their mix of Occitan and Arab musical influences they reminded us of the Andalucian group Radio Tarifa, whom we saw some years ago in Cardiff. As Mauresca sang at our village fête, 'we are not in the south of France we're in the north of the Mediterranean'.

It's after midnight and I'm very tired so I'll catch up with comments tomorrow.
