An uphill struggle

I normally enjoy reading Bill Bryson's work. They are quirky, amusing and full of fascinating facts. This book has become a chore to read! 

It is full of interesting information, but rather too much of it all in one sitting. If you are American, or know more than average about American history, this would be a great read. 

I'll keep ploughing through to the end, as I always do.
