Betws-y-Coed
Ace campsite - sandwiched between a river on one side, a little steam train track on the other and surrounded by mountains. The park even had an old tractor and digger and there was a converted horsebox which sold woodfired pizzas of an evening.
The only downsides were the first night when some pillocks thought that it would be a good idea to play their doof doof music through their car speakers into their tent all night, the group of very posh young folks who got a bit tipsy (I awoke at some point to hear someone trying to talk his mate out of weeing next to our tent) and then the second night when there was a group of school children who seemed to be on some sort of multi day expedition and decided to strike camp right next to our tent inspite of us being practically the only people left on the campsite. Maybe they were nervous about being on their own?!
I always forget that I hate the lack of privacy and silence at such places between trips...
