Looking towards High Street

When Clickychick got back from town she dashed in saying "get your camera the sun is on Blencathra and its covered in snow".  Round about then Sod's Law kicked in, by the time we were a couple of miles up the road with a view of Blencathra the sun was going into the clouds.

As I tried some rapid shots I was puzzled as to why the pics when viewed on the LCD were pure black.  Eventually I realised why the camera was set three s under exposed from some experimenting I had been doing yesterday.  By now shots of Blencathra were in very flat light.

About a hundred yards up the road there was a gateway looking towards Ullswater and the sun was still slightly shining there.  So here is a shot taken from that view point.
