Blips of the mind

Sometimes the moments that would make the best blips are the ones you know you wouldn't be able to capture.

Matt gave Mo this plastic "candle" for her birthday this morning (you blow on it to turn it on or off) and there was a point when the birthday girl and all three boys were sitting around it, illuminated just by its light. Beautiful. I'm sure Rembrandt would have made a good job of the scene, but it was beyond me. So it'll have to remain a blip of the mind.

Happy birthday Mo. You may not have known you wanted one of these until you saw it. But, as soon as you'd seen it, Matt could tell it was just what you'd always wanted.
