This is Oban, from McCaig's granite monument through the sandstone hotels to the slashing roof of the new restaurant on the north pier.

We were off, at the end of the session, to a staff night out on the small island of Kererra. However, it is a bit perturbing to have a member of staff comment casually, as we got nearer the jetty on the tiny boat, "Oh, they've put walls on the place now. What a shame."

That's the staff for you. Working with me has made them unpredictable. They need a well deserved break. Away from me.
