Snowy

This morning was a full one with the team starting to look at business planning priorities in light of the anticipated budget for next year. We are fortunate that the result is expected to be flatline but that still requires us to make savings to accommodate increased costs. We did not get what we separately sought to develop the system in a digital world. As this looks like remaining a priority the discussions on how we create a fund to develop what we consider essential were challenging.

This is the start of a process and one which will run for weeks.

I had to leave at lunchtime to get ready to drive the family to Durham for our daughter's graduation tomorrow for her Masters degree.

The weather was cold and crisp and there were some wonderful views. I managed to pull in to a lay-by to capture this, showing how the wind and snow must have been whipped up.
