Blustery Estuary

Tyninghame Bay, East Lothian at low tide. After night-shift, nearly killing myself to get to the 0707 train home and then sleeping as much as I could this morning, I got out for some fresh air and open space. Restorative.

Big Bay.

The signs for Tern Breeding have been up since spring, but I've never seen ant terns breeding here. There just use other places - I don't think they care much for Council-designated breeding grounds!

There were some Little Terns flying by today which are extra-cute.

In other news, my extra package arrived today - so I have my shiny new D5100 and 18-105 lens. What a fun camera! Now to read the large manual cover to cover...
