Time Trial

Little Spott looking down to Dunbar, East Lothian. After sleeping most of the day (night shifts!) I beetled about cleaning the house with the tTV flicking between Wimbledon and Le Tour, leaving myself just enough time to get out for a ride. I jumped on the road bike and headed for Pitcox. Somehow despite tiredness, lack of training of any kind, eating rubbish and generally being unhealthy, I did it in a personal best time of 8mins 48sec, averaging 16 mph. That's quite a steep hill, about 2 1/3 miles frmo the front door. Excellent! Then a whizz downhill for home with just enough time to catch the train to Edinburgh for tonight's shift.

Although Andy didn't win at the tennis, Bradley Wiggins held onto his lead in Le Tour with great style. Defending champion Cadel Evans threw himself into attacks up the Swizz mountains today but Brad just sat behind him, losing no time. He remains 10 seconds in the lead. Come on!
