Farewell, Mark. Welcome back, Ward.

A day spent with friends is a day well spent. Therefore, this was a day very well spent. Met up with two groups of friends over lunch and tea. Had long conversations catching up and bringing friends up to speed.

Meeting with the above selection will indefinitely lead to a conversation about local politics, an inexhaustible topic, but we kept the conversation light, since Mark's flying back to the UK. Don't know when (but will make it a point to) I'll see him again. Sorry, Mark, I didn't hang out with you more while you were here.

I finally had my lemon meringue. After all that searching and pining I was underwhelmed and kinda disappointed. The crust was too thick and mealy, and the lemon curd wasn't what I expected it to be, although I have nothing to compare it with except my imagination. Hope to find a better one soon.
