Old friends, good company

We were invited over to dinner tonight by old friends, to 'matar saudades' - an eloquent Brazilian term which means to catch up with people you may not have seen for a while and have been missing and bring yourselves up to date with their news. It was a perfect evening, in a lovely house in Urca, one of the most characterful areas of Rio, right under the Sugar Loaf. Just one other friend joined us, so we were en petit comité, very relaxed and happy. So much so, that I forgot to take a photo till we were outside, about to get into our taxi in light rain. Rather dark and a bit much for the mobile to handle, but at least it will preserve the memory.
