Eduardo
The rain came and now it has stopped for five minutes. Some of the farm was under water but that disappeared fairly quickly. A house in the valley had water running through it and there was an abandoned car and cars unable to return home. The water was just over three feet deep in places flooding from the river. T had to take K home by tractor.
N opened the cow barn gate last night but the cows stayed in the paddock until dawn when they sauntered down to the dry bedding for a rest. Our favourite cow calved outsides in the rainstorm, a heifer calf which T says he wants to keep to breed from. This is Eduardo who has been put with the in-calf cows and the calf. He rushed over to me as soon as I appeared, looking for dry feed no doubt.
