Painted with ice

Our windows have what's called a "secondary glazing". It means the actual old wooden windows only have a single pane of glass (the second pane of glass is separate and some distance away, which creates ideal conditions for condensation and mould on the wood...) and so this happens when it's properly frosty overnight.

I haven't seen frosty windows since I was a kid. It melted quickly.

I have blogged a list of my best books of 2015 if you're interested fellow blipping book worms (wow it sounds like an insult!).
