Crash of the Elysium

Gaby took Emma to the Doctor Who 'Crash of the Elysium' experience today and although children are meant to be seven to get in, Emma who is a few months short of that, coped very well. In fact G says that there was a much older boy who was so scared he cried the whole time!

It sounds quite an experience. They had to dress in boiler suits and then the fast-moving adventure began. It sounded a bit like a giant ghost ride - on foot, witha Dr Who theme. There must have been dozens of actors involved, L and I saw some of them round the back. the shows were timed to start every ten minutes and it lasts for about an hour. It was all taking place in the car park of the swimming pool which is being refurbished, so an acre or so full of marquees which apparently were full of theatre scenery and effects.

I think G would love to do something like this when she becomes a drama student in the Autumn and E just took it all in her stride.

Oh, I know this is an old phone box and not a Tardis police phone box, but they are extraordinarily hard to find on the ground these days!
