DERELICT SUNDAY + A BLESSING
A great service at church, with some wonderful songs and an excellent sermon then Mr. HCB took me out to lunch to one of our favourite places, The Old Bank - which was also good - not only because the food was excellent, but also because it means I don’t have to cook a meal today!
It was absolutely freezing when we came out so we decided just to wander around and see if I could get a blip for Derelict Sunday from the places around Old Town, and then we would be able to go home and warm up.
We didn’t have to venture far, and this was the broken gateway into an electricity sub-station with a lot of rubbish around - I was rather remiss though as I didn’t check to see if there was anything in the Cristiano Ronaldo CR7 box, which was part of the rubbish. One wonders (a) why it was there and (b) if the owner had stripped off and changed his underwear in this chilly weather.
Now back home in a lovely warm house and Mr. HCB is watching Son Number 2’s favourite team, Liverpool, playing Manchester United - have seen on FB that SN2 is watching in Thailand - but as I type, the score is still 0-0.
The bonus while we stood in the freezing cold, was the photograph in my extras today - a little robin - unfortunately, the flash fired and it was frightened off, but it was an unexpected blessing for us; then its mate appeared so we stood and watched both of them feeding on some crumbs, probably thrown down by late night revellers.
I hope your life will be filled with many blessings this week.
Give thanks for
unknown blessings
already on their way.
