Carnforth Station

Today's the day ........................... to keep on track

Wasn't sure whether I would manage to get to Carnforth Station this morning for a volunteer duty at the Heritage Centre.  But Will offered to drive me - and actually the main roads were fine.

All the talk at the Centre was of the possible arrival of The Flying Scotsman next week.  This iconic steam engine which has spent the last 10 years undergoing a multi-million pound refit is at present being put through its paces at various locations in the north of England.  Word is that she will arrive at some time on Tuesday and spend Wednesday undergoing various tests.

That should draw the crowds .........................
