My sister arrived yesterday to lend a hand - or moral support anyway - after a recent stressful time with mum, which resulted in quite a number of tearful phone calls made to her ..

So for the first time in a very long time I've been doing proper cooking - catering for my guest (mum's diet is very simple and rather restricted - and I generally can't be bothered to do much just for myself)

What a time consuming business cooking is - I'm afraid it gives me no real pleasure at all!
