Sunday Funday...

Great day!   Started with a visit from two friends I'd never met before.  

Yes, I finally got to meet two blippers (see extras) who had come to Scotland for the weekend to attend a wedding (a great reason to visit Scotland :-)) and I'm delighted they were able to squeeze in a visit to us before heading back to Edinburgh to catch their flight back down south.  

Karen (Kas18) and her husband Andy (Math1e) are every bit as lovely as I thought they would be and we had a lovely time chatting over coffee and scones before they had to head off back to Edinburgh and their flight home.

Guys it was so lovely to meet you at last and we need to get organised and have you up for a long weekend once the better weather is here and the Gin Palace is open.  And of course to get those all important swimming lessons Karen :-))

Later in the afternoon D and I headed up to Gleneagles and had a little wander with my camera (some extra photos).  It was a so good to be outdoors.  The scenery was lovely and the fresh air very refreshing.  The lounge bar did look very inviting.We would have gone in and had champagne cocktails but neither of us were wearing the right shoes that's our excuse! 

Home to a bacon sandwich and a roaring fire and complete laziness for the rest of the day.

Perfect.
