An ordinary life....

Snow Go!

Was up at the crack of dawn this morning....actually it was way before then.  6.00am!  I was not a pretty sight I can tell you!

Downstairs by 7.30am to prepare for the painter arriving at 8.00am to paint our ensuite (you may recall he painted our bedroom before Christmas but left the ensuite as I was concerned there was a leak in the roof.  There wasn't.)

By 8.22 I was beginning to wonder if the weather had caused him some difficulty then minutes later his boss arrived to tell me there was a mix up and it will be tomorrow morning.  So, another 6am rise tomorrow.  Woo hoo!  :-))

Later in the morning a surveyor came to survey the house (we have to have it surveyed before and after the building work) and it turns out he'd been here before to do a survey in 1998 for the people who sold the house to the people before us.  He had a few external photos of the house taken in 1998 and sweet thing that he was, said I could keep them.   The brilliant thing is there are a number of photos showing the old conservatory that ran the length of the house (that was gone when we bought the house) where we are building the garden room, so once that's completed we will have a pictorial record of that side of the house depicting the changes made by the previous two owners and us.

Just as the surveyor left the guy from the hoist company came to fit a weighing scale to Alan's hoist.  At last we will be able to record his weight accurately and note how much weight he loses when his colitis flares up.

Some fresh air then back to the house as the rain came on and the fog rolled in.  Brrrrrrr.  The nights are definitely getting lighter though :-))

Dinner to make then hoping I can stay awake long enough for a Blip catch up.

Great news about the future of Blip.  I am a happy bunny!  :-))
