World turned upside down

A quick detour today to take advantage of a still day in one of my favourite reservoir valleys.

Sad to hear about the death of Glen Frey of the Eagles. I saw them play in Edinburgh 20 years ago.  Then, in 2000, on a holiday driving Route 66, we stopped in Winslow, Arizona in order to stand on the corner featured in a song Glen co-wrote and in which he played lead guitar - Take It Easy. They seemed to be celebrating an annual "Take It Easy" day with bands playing in the streets and stalls selling all manner of consumables.  An abiding regret is that I didn't buy a "Winslow Arizona High School" T shirt.
