GREYS MONUMENT - NEWCASTLE

Got the bus to Newcastle this afternoon.  Quickly took my blip shot of Grey's Monument and then got the Metro to near Byker.  Then walked the short distance to the out of town retail park.  I got a few things in M & S and some food in Asda.   The weather was sunny and dry but it got overcast and chilly later on.

I got home around 6pm.  As I walked through the door I heard the house phone ringing.  It was my brother C.  A good friend of his had just told him that he has lung cancer. No treatment is being offered so it must be bad.  C just wanted to share the news with someone.  We chatted about all sorts including his recently purchased Sous Vide machine which he loves.
