Transitions

When the circumstances overwhelm me, I tend to focus on the small. Here I am, after buying my first house, moving into it at a frantic pace, awaiting a visit of the family from abroad, and I am contemplating the floor.

I believe there should be a strip of a transition material between the wood floor in the hallway and the bathroom tiles. A metal threshold perhaps, or something similar. otherwise the transition is just too jarring.
